Procedure

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Cracker and Explosive License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant has to select the details Processing Location/ District Administration where the application is being submitted.
3. And enter the personal details of the applicant.
4. Followed by uploading all the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Pay the fee amount of Rs. 500.
6. Also, the applicant has to enter all the details about the explosive and cracker details.
7. After completing all the details, the applicant has to click the “I agree” button.
8. Followed by clicking the “Submit” button.
9. After submission, an acknowledgment message with a reference number will be generated.
10. Use that reference number to check the status of the application.
11. Once all the verification is over, the applicant will be notified to download the license.
12. This entire process can be completed within 2- 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In-Person

1. Applicant may approach their respective “Police Commissioner/District Magistrate/District police headquarters” office to apply for this license.
2. Make sure that you have required documents to process your request.
3. Please confirm that you are eligible to apply.
4. A Report/N.O.C from concerned police station, Fire brigade& local authority needs to be obtained.
5. Applicant must submit the respective application form along with the required documents.
6. Your application will be accepted with advised fee as per authorities.
7. This application will be processed further.
8. If, required police verification and inquiries would be conducted.
9. If everything in place and upon satisfactory ground the license will be issued as notified.

• Grant or rejection of permit depends on the department decision.
• In some states applicant shall approach over the counter services like CSC centres/e-seva etc to apply.
• In some states applicant shall apply using the respective state department online portal.

• Proof of Identity and Address proof
• Verification report from police
• No objection from fire service department
• Report/N.O.C from concerned police station, Fire brigade & local authority as applicable
• No objection from local body
• Particulars of previous license if any
• Description of place, where the storage is intended to be carried out.
• No objection certificate from the premises owner, if the business is intended to be carried out on a rented place.
• Recent copy of Form-F of the land housing the Storage Facility.
• Aadhaar Card

Eligibility

• Applicants must be above 18 years old.
• Not sentenced or convicted of any offence involving violence or moral turpitude for a term of not less than six months, at any time during a period of five years after the expiration of the sentence.
• Applicant should not have any connection or executions in code of Criminal Procedure.
• Applicant license under the Explosives Act has not been cancelled, whether before or after the commencement of the Indian Explosives (Amendment) Act, at any time during a period of five years from the date of cancellation of such license.

Validity

• Validity of the Cracker License on Temporary basis will be Maximum of 15 days and on Permanent basis for 1 Year (Financial Year)
• Renewed every year (Optional)
  

NOTE : When applying for a temporary license to sell or to store on seasonal demand like Diwali – This licence will be issued in a time of 1 week to 1 month as decided by local authorities

• Attach the valid documents to get approval.
• Approach the respective office to get the license on-time.
• Kindly apply for new license after the expiry period.

• Government has enforced public to follow strict rules and regulations while dealing crackers and explosives under the Explosive policy.
• To administer the responsibilities delegated under the Explosives Act 1884 the rules made there under related to manufacture, import, export, transport, possession, sale and use of Explosives
• Without this license one can’t deal or trade such items.
• Match Factories, Cracker shops are few of the establishments which requires this license
• To ensure public safety, Government has formed and regulates these traders to follow the set of rules and keep track of those involved in this business for timely supervision
