Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to severe and multi-disabled persons who are living below poverty line.
Apply In-Person:
central government scheme - Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme

1. To apply for this scheme, the eligible person has to submit two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents to the concerned Block/circle/Panchayat authority.
2. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper
3. After scrutiny, the application is forwarded to the respective ULBs/Janpadpanchayats with their recommendation.
4. Following the approval, the approval letter is dispatched to the respective Post Office of the applicant, where a savings account is opened in the name of the beneficiary for making the payments.
5. In case of rejection of application, the applicant is duly informed.

• In some states applicant shall approach over the counter services like CSC centres/e-seva etc to apply.
• In some states applicant shall apply using the respective state department online portal.
