Procedure

• Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to severe and multi-disabled persons who are living below poverty line.
  

Apply In-Person:
Central government scheme - Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme

1. To apply for this scheme, the eligible person has to submit two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO).
2. Link for contact details : link.
3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download using the following link. NSAP please select the hyperlink under disability pension session as per requirement for application form.
4. After scrutiny, the application is forwarded by the BDO to the Sub Divisional Officer for approval
5. Following the approval, the approval letter is dispatched to the respective Post Office of the applicant, where a savings account is opened in the name of the beneficiary for making the payments.
6. In case of rejection of application, the applicant is duly informed.

State government scheme

1. Applicant shall apply two copies of duly filled application form along with required documents to the village head or Panchayat secretary.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter OR write on a plain paper OR download using the following link. link
4. This application will be processed and recommended by the Gram Sabha.
5. Applicant gets notification about the approval. Once the process is satisfactory, pension will be delivered to applicant as cash.

Note: people can avail only one pension facility

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
6. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
7. The operator will process the application online.
8. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
9. This application will be processed internally. Once the verification is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective superior authority to decide the issue of the Certificate to the applicant.
10. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
11. If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.

• Signature/Thumb impression of the patient countersigned by the Medial Superintendent/CMO/Head of Hospital (with seal)

Eligibility

• For central assistance
  • Age 18 – 64 years
  • Applicant should be suffering from severe or multiple disabilities.
• For state assistance
  • The applicant must be physically disabled and posses a certificate of minimum 40% of disability
  • There is no minimum or maximum age limit for availing the benefits of the scheme
  • There is no upper limit of annual income defined for availing the pension
  • The applicant should be a resident of the State or should have been residing in the State for at least past 10 years, since the date of submission of the application.

• Applicant should be a citizen of India

Fees

Service is free.

Validity

• As per the age limit prescribed by the central government scheme.
• Age limit for state level scheme will be notified by respective authorities.
