Apply In-Person:

1. You can complain about the faulty electricity meter by approaching Maharashtra state Electricity Board and writing a letter to them.
2. The letter should consist of the Customer ID number, Meter Number, telephone number, address or nearest landmark and brief details of the complaint.
3. After the complaint is lodged, the fuse man will inspect the meter.
4. After inspection of the faulty meter, the fuse man will consult the respective concerned officers and will replace the meter from the local centralized location.
5. The fuse man will also request the customer to take an undertaking on a standard form which is already available with him in order to make the payment of the faulty meter and also for the amendments of the electricity bills if required.

2. Click on “Complaint Registration”.
3. Fill out all the mandatory details required. Refer to the “Required Information” section in this procedure to fill the required details.
4. Save the form and click on submit.
5. The complaint is now fully submitted.
6. After the complaint is submitted the fuse man will visit for the inspection of the faulty meter and replace the meter from the local or centralized location.
7. The department will inform to the consumer to either collect the repaired meter or the replaced meter until which the consumer needs to wait until further notice from the department.
8. The consumer must follow the department notice and regulations to get the electricity meter fixed.
