• You can apply by calling "14567" which is a National Helpline for the Elders and they should be able to facilitate you to get a Senior Citizen Certifiate or Identity Card.
  
  

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for a Senior Citizen Certificate, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. Enter all the details in the application form.
3. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
5. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
6. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
7. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
8. Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
9. Once your application is approved, you will be informed about when and where to collect your Senior Citizen Certificate. Make sure to carry proper identification when collecting the certificate.
10. The Senior Citizen Certificate can be used to access various benefits and privileges provided by the government for senior citizens. These benefits may include discounts on public transportation, healthcare, and other services.
11. The authority will assess the application, once the applicant meet all the requirements the authority will issue the license.
12. This entire process can be completed within 10 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the senior citizen certificate, please approach the concerned Social Justice And Empowerment office.

3. Please go to the respective office to get details for applying and also the application form.
4. Link for application form: Senior Citizen certificate. Click on “Download APPLICATION FORM FOR OLD AGE SAMMAN ALLOWANCE.”. The form will be downloaded.
5. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
6. Submit the completed form along with the documents to the concerned authority.
7. This application will be processed internally. Verification of submitted documents will also be carried.
8. After successful completion, Certificate will be delivered to the applicant through postal or in person as per the applicable norms.
9. The whole process of issuing the Senior Citizen Certificate will take 7 working days.

• Two photographs of the applicant.
• Aadhaar card
• ID card of the applicant (Pension book/ School certificate/ Identity Card issued by competent authority OR Bank passbook with photo)
• Residential Proof(Ration cards/Valid Passport/Voter ID card)
• Pan card ( For Monthly Pension above Rs.15,000 per month)
• Birth certificate / document to prove the age
• Residence certificate issued by Competent Authority for the said period as required.

Get the senior citizen certificate from the concerned circle officer or DC office.

Following are the required information to apply for the senior citizen certificate

• Age of the applicant
• Ration card details

• The Government of India provides facilities for citizens above the age of 60 years. In order to avail those facilities one has to get the certificate.
• The senior citizen certificate will allow the holder to receive numerous benefits like discounts in Railways, Flights and other benefits from the government.

• Without cross signature(half on paper and half on photograph) and signature on undertaking, the application will be rejected
• One has to produce the card to prove the authorities whenever asked for. So, this card must be carried always.

NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a Senior citizen certificate
