Gujarat - Book Complaint about Incorrect EB Bill

Apply In-Person:

  1. To book complaint about Incorrect EB bill in Gujarat, the applicant has to approach the Electricity Department office in Gujarat.Contact Link1, Contact Link2, Contact Link3, Contact Link4, Contact Link5,Contact Link6 ,Contact Link7
  2. Applicant should go to Electricity Department. Meet the executive who is meant for taking complaints and applicant can get their application form for incorrect EB Bill.
  3. Follow their guidelines to record your complaint.
  4. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
  5. The Applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the received complaint.
  6. This request will be processed by the respective authority.
  7. After the complaint is submitted, technician will check your EB meter to find out the reason for the incorrect EB bill.
  8. A technician will visit the premises as per the address mentioned in the application.
  9. He will check the meter for the fault. If the problem is persistent, the electricity meter will be removed. Then the electricity meter will be sent to department lab for checking.
  10. Applicant shall wait till the mentioned period to get the meter or can get new electricity meter based on the department’s decision.
  11. The fees and payment depends on the respective electricity board and respective state.
  12. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 15-30 days.
  13. Please follow the department notification to get the electricity meter fixed.


Apply online

  1. Applicant go to website Online Link
  2. In the link, the applicant must first select their region of complaint, namely, MGVCL or UGVCL or DGVCL or PGVCL.
  3. After selecting appropriate region, If applicant is a new user, click “Sign Up” button, and must enter the credentials to create the account.
  4. After creating the account, again the applicant must “Login” using the “Mobile No” and “Password”.
  5. Then must enter the required details asked in the complaint portal.
  6. After filling out all the details and uploading required photos or documents, click on the submit button.
  7. Then should submit the complaint by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button.
  8. The complaint is now fully submitted.
  9. After the complaint is submitted the fuse man will visit for the inspection of the faulty meter and replace the meter from the local or centralized location.
  10. The fees and payment depends on the respective electricity board and respective state.
  11. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 15-30 days.

  • Photo of latest meter reading captured through your mobile (some officers would like to see it).
  • Complaint letter regarding the error in meter you are complaining.
  • Aadhar card copy.
