An International Driving License (IDL) is a document recognized in many countries which allows the holder to drive a private motor vehicle while travelling abroad. To be valid the IDL must be accompanied by a valid license from the home country. The document is a multiple language translation of the holder's national driver's license, complete with photograph and other personal details.
Remember that you must bring along your driving license issued in Cameroon during your trip abroad. The international driving license is only a translation of your local driving license, you must be able to present both at all times.
Please explain what are other uses of obtaining this document/certificate. e.g. Birth Certificate can be used as proof of identity.
