1. Go to the offices of BIHAMK and local automobile clubs/societies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
2. Complete an application form.
3. Submit the completed form along with your two ID pictures.
4. Present your valid driving license and identification.
5. Pay the required fee before receiving your permit.

IDP/MVD: 30.00 KM

An MVD is issued for a period of two years. In case the national driver's license is valid for less than 2 years then your MVD's validity will follow that of your driver's license.

Note: The IDP/MVD is a document supplemental/supporting the existing driving licences issued by the licensing office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, you must always bring your national driver's license along with your IDP/MVD everytime you drive a vehicle.

If you are planning on driving a vehicle outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, keep in mind that many countries requires drivers to be a holder of an International Driving Permit (MVD).

The International Driving Permit (MVD) is a copy of your national driving license in several languages. You will need this type of document when you travel to most European countries.

You may also be asked to present an IDP/MVD when you rent a vehicle abroad.
