The interstate driving license is valid for one year from the date of issue and only in connection with the national driving license.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) allows the holder to drive a private motor vehicle in the country other than the one who issued the permit (outside the EEA).

This document must be accompanied by a valid license from the home country to be valid. An IDP is usually slightly larger than a standard passport and translated in multiple languages of the holders normal driver's license.
