South Africa - Online Blue Train Reservation

- Step 2 : To apply for reserving a blue train ticket online, the applicant has to visit the following link: Apply Online
- Step 3 : Visit the link and a booking form will be displayed with fields to be filled by the person who is booking the tickets.
- Step 4 : The person must fill the booking form by entering all the details regarding the journey. Fill the text boxes with corresponding details and click the relevant drop-down menus to select required options.
- Step 5 : Since we are reserving a ticket to travel on a blue train, select train option as “The Blue Train (5* luxury hotel on wheels)” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image under “Train reservations” section which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image of the booking form.
- Step 6 : If you want to make any car transport booking, complete the “Car transport bookings” section which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image with required details and proceed.
- Step 7 : Fill the “Train Tour – Accommodation – Packages” section which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image only if you want to make visiting the destination as a tour and you want to make a prior booking for accommodation.Click on “see packages” option which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to get details about the available packages.
- Step 8 : Then, select an appropriate payment option by ticking the applicable tick box and below that, select either “Send quotation” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image or “Make the reservation and send invoice” tick box which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.
- Step 9 : Click “Send” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image and “Enquiries Confirmation Page” will be opened displaying the further process which will take place after the enquiry has been notified.
- Step 10 : If you have selected “Send quotation” tick box, you will receive an email containing a quotation, quoting availability, service details, fares and timings.
- Step 11 : In that case, you must confirm the reservation details after which you will receive an invoice that is payable within 24 hours.
- Step 12 : If you have selected “Make the reservation and send invoice” tick box, the reservation officials will proceed to prepare the invoice for the transaction.
- Step 13 : Once the transaction has been confirmed, a voucher will be issued confirming the journey details and that should be presented at the ticket office on the day of departure to get the boarding tickets.
