If you are a Saudi Arabia resident, also you hold a valid Saudi Arabia driver’s license, you can apply for International Driving License.

The International Driving License is a translation of your national driving license.

This license allows you to drive vehicles in foreign countries.

You must always have this license with your national license at all times. Please follow below guiding to apply for International Driving License in Saudi Arabia:

  1. Prepare the required documents:
    • Copy of your passport
    • Copy of your valid Saudi Arabia driver’s license
    • 2 of your passport size photos
  2. Application
  1. Through the Saudi Automobile & Touring Association (SATA)
    2. You can apply in-person or Online through SATA. You can contact them by the following link http://www.sataclub.com.sa/sata/english/Contact-Us for more information before apply for International Driving License:
    • In-person
      • Visit a suitable office of SATA: http://www.sataclub.com.sa/sata/english/Contact-Us.
      • Present the required documents and follow all of officer’s guiding to take and finish your application form.
      • Pay the applicable fee and obtain your International Driving License.
    • By Online
  2. Through the Saudi Automobile Federation (SAF)
    3. You can apply in-person in any SAF office. You can also apply online, if you have the Identity number from SAF. Please contact the SAF by link http://www.saf.com.sa/page/public/Contactus.aspx for more information before you apply for International Driving License:

EligibilityEdit

  • You are a Saudi Arabia resident.
  • You hold a valid Saudi Arabia driver’s license

FeesEdit

  • Vary on each office but ranges from SR130 to SR150.
  • Additional cost for Online: SR50 for local shipment, and SR200 for outside Saudi Arabia shipment
