International driving licence or permit in Pakistan can be obtained from all provinces and federal capital as well.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Visit the legal issuing authority with all the required documents and the recommended fees. e.g. In Islamabad, it can be acquired from the Deputy Commissioner Office of Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and in Lahore and Quetta from City Traffic Police.
  2. Request for the application form of the (IDL OR IDP) Link international driving permit
  3. Read through the instruction carefully and fill the form correctly and pay the application fees
  4. Submit the filled application form with the attach the required documents to the attending official
  5. You will be required to appear before the licence issuing authority who will verify your documents and process them
  6. If all the information is in order you will be issued your licence by the issuing authority of the province i.e. either the district magistrate or the city traffic police.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Valid Pakistani local driving license.
  • Rs. 30 stamp to be pasted on the application form along with Rs. 350 as a processing fee. Rs. 30 stamps can be obtained from GPO by asking for inserting on the application.
  • Valid passport.
  • CNIC copy.
  • Proof of living in Islamabad like domicile.
  • Two passport size photographs.
  • Medical certificate (if applicable)

InstructionsEdit

  • You must be at least 18 years old to apply for an international driving permit.
  • You must carry both your IDP and your driver’s license when driving abroad.
  • You must obtain your IDP in the same country that issued your driver’s license.
  • You can never use your IDP to drive in the country in which it was issued.

  • Religion of the applicant
