Liberia - Apply for International Driver License

Procedure

You may apply for an international driving license at accredited agencies in Liberia . International Drivers License are issued by by Government Agencies in Liberia or private organizations designed by the the Government of Liberia You may check with the driver's license issuing agency of your country for these accredited companies.

1. Go to the traffic administration
2. Tell that you wish to get an international driver license. You'll need to present your Home Country Driver's License before they issue you a slip which you will be needing when you go to for a test and verification exercise in Monrovia . Your driving license must be valid for at least a year before you will be granted that slip of paper, if not you'll have to renew first you license.
3. Go to Auto Drivers club in Monrovia. Fill up form and present all necessary requirements.
   
   

Bear in mind that those international permits issued by accredited agencies like Auto drivers Club will be recognized by other countries.

Eligibility

• All holders of a valid Liberia Driver's License which is not less than one year before expiration.
• So long as you have your original driver's license, issued from your home country. Your driver's license has to be valid in order for the international driving permit to take effect

Fees

• Members of Auto drivers Club Liberia pay $24.9
• Non Members pay $30

Validity

The international license is valid for one year.

• You can not Drive in Liberia without obtaining an international Driving permit.
• You should apply in person
• There are no driving privileges to any visitor in Liberia whose home country does not issue international driving permits.
• Auto Drivers Club of Liberia is the party in Liberia that issue international driving licenses recognized where it is international representative of the International Federation of International Federation Auto Drivers club.
