- To apply for an Entertainment incentive either as an Individual or a Company, you should submit your complete application to the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (MCGES) through the National Registry of Entertainment and Creative Industries Practitioners (E-Registry) and the Entertainment Division. You can view MCGES (e-registry) contact details via this link:Link
- First, you must ensure that you are registered with the Entertainment Division,please refer to wikiprocedure “Jamaica-Register as An Entertainment Practitioner (Individual or Company)” to view the registration process
- Once you are registered, visit the MCGES’s offices to complete the Fiscal incentives form in person or you can send an email to the office requesting the form which will be sent to your email address.
- Complete the application form correctly in triplet and attach all the required documents e.g., your Tax Registration Number (TRN)
- Scan all three signed copies and submit them to the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry via their email address: [email protected] for processing. Note that all requests should be addressed to the Permanent Secretary.
- Upon receipt of the application, MCGES will verify your application to ensure that you are a bonafide entertainment practitioner and that you are involved in the prescribed entertainment activity.
- Then MCGES will conduct a joint visit of the facility of your operation with the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and prepare a formal report regarding your application and send it to the Minister for review and approval
- Once approved, the ministry (MCGES) will forward a formal referral or recommendation regarding your application to the following agencies for their review and approval:
- Incentives Unit of Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA)
- Legal Support Division of Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ).
- The agencies will ascertain the application and forward their feedback to MCGES who will advise you of the final determination regarding your entertainment status
- Once the final determination is made, JCA will enter your information into the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) platform for customs Entertainment Incentives

- You can also complete the Fiscal incentives form online through the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry (E-Registry) by visiting their website: Link
- In the information bar, select “Registration” to be directed to the registration page
- Read the provided information and choose to apply for the Fiscal incentive as an Individual or as an Entertainment Company
- That is if you choose to register as an individual, you will complete this online form: “Fiscal incentive for Individuals” Link and if you need to register as a company you will need to complete the “Fiscal Incentive for Companies” Link
- Complete the online form and upload all the required documents for your application i.e., your TRN card and valid government-issued identification documents
- You can download the form and sign it by hand or use an electronic signature device to sign the form. Note that the form should be completed in triples and sent to the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry via their email address: [email protected]
- Upon receipt of the application, MCGES will verify your application to ensure that you are a bonafide entertainment practitioner and that you are involved in the prescribed entertainment activity.
