Jamaica - Online Apply for Entertainment Incentives

Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Apply for Entertainment Incentives

Step 2 : You can also complete the Fiscal incentives form online through the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry (E-Registry) by visiting their website: Apply Online.

Step 3 : In the information bar, select “Registration” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to be directed to the registration page.

Step 4 : Read the provided information and choose to apply for the Fiscal incentive as an Individual or as an Entertainment Company.If you want to register as an individual Entertainment Practioner click on the “click here” hypertext which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 5 : If you want to register as an Entertainment Company click on the “click here” hypertext which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

Step 6 : That is if you choose to register as an individual, you will complete this online form: “Fiscal Incentive Application Form (Indiviual)”: Apply Online.

Step 7 : Complete the online form and upload all the required documents for your application i.e., your TRN card and valid government-issued identification documents.

Step 8 : After filling the form put a tick mark for the verification “I’m not a robot” which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow and select “Yes” which is pointed out by a “Green” arrow in the below image to declare that the above information is true.

Step 9 : Next a “Signature?” dropdown box will be visible if you want to Upload click on “Upload” Which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow and if you want to Sign select “Sign” Which is pointed out by a “Green” arrow in the below image.

Step 10 : If you choose to Upload click on the “Choose File” Button which is highlighted in “Red” to Upload your signature and then click on the “Preview Answers” Tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

Step 11 : If you choose to “Sign” Sign it digitally in the box which is highlighted in “Green” to sign and then click on the “Preview Answers” Tab which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 12 : Now if you want to print click on the “Print” Button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to Print the Application Form or click on the “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 13 : If you need to register as a company you will need to complete the “Fiscal Incentive Application Form (Company)” Apply Online.

Step 14 : Complete the online form and upload all the required documents for your application i.e., your TRN card and valid government-issued identification documents.

Step 17 : If you choose to Upload click on the “Choose File” Button which is highlighted in “Red” to Upload your signature and then click on the “Preview Answers” Tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

Step 18 : If you choose to “Sign” Sign it digitally in the box which is highlighted in “Green” to sign and then click on the “Preview Answers” Tab which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 19 : Now click on the “Print” Button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to Print the Application Form.

Step 20 : Note now that the Printed form should be completed in triples and sent to the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry via their email address: [email protected].

Step 21 : Upon receipt of the application, MCGES will verify your application to ensure that you are a bonafide entertainment practitioner and that you are involved in the prescribed entertainment activity.

Step 22 : Then MCGES will conduct a joint visit of the facility of your operation with the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and prepare a formal report regarding your application and send it to the Minister for review and approval.

Step 23 : Once approved, the ministry (MCGES) will forward a formal referral or recommendation regarding your application to the following agencies for their review and approval:

Step 24 : Incentives Unit of Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA).

Step 25 : Legal Support Division of Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ).

Step 26 : The agencies will ascertain the application and forward their feedback to MCGES who will advise you of the final determination regarding your entertainment status.

Step 27 : Once the final determination is made, JCA will enter your information into the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) platform for customs Entertainment Incentives.
