- Complete an application form.
- Take the form to the nearest Post Office for forwarding, for processing or post the completed form to: Isle of Man Post Office, Licensing Agent, PO Box 367, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM99 3HA.
- Do not forget to bring or send all other required documents.

- Applicants must be aged 18 years or over
- Must reside in the Isle of Man
- Holds a full current Isle of Man driving licence.
FeesEdit
International Driving Permit:
- 1 year IDP : 11.00
- 3 year IDP : 24.00
If you need an IDP urgently then there is an additional Emergency fee charged at 33.
Make any cheques payable to Isle of Man Post Office.

There two types of IDP available:
- One year International Driving Permit, required for the following countries:
- Brazil
- Burundi
- Iraq
- Somalia
- The 3 year International Driving Permit is recommended for all other countries outside of the UK.
You may contact the authorities of the country you are visiting to confirm what type of IDP you will need to be able to drive legally.

Note: An International Drivers Permit can only be issued if your resident address is in the Isle of Man.
