India - Renew Agmark Certificate for your Product

Apply In-Person:
- Application for renewal of AGMARK certificate shall be submitted to the concerned Sub Office/Regional Office of Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI) not later than 30 days before the expiry of validity.
- Go to the respective office.
- Meet the respective authority and get the required application form or write on a plain A4 paper as per advice.
- Applicant shall use the following link to download the application form Link Use “FORM-‘A-4’.”
- Download the application form.
- Complete the application form with mandatory details.
- Please submit the completed application (2 copies) along with the AGMARK certificate book number and required documents as mentioned in our required documents session.
- Please enclose application fee & renewal fee (DD) as applicable.
- Authorities will check the submitted application. If all are in place an acknowledgement will be provided to the applicant. Please keep it safe for future reference.
- This application will be processed internally.
- As per department norms renewal process will be initiated. Applicants get SMS notification about the different stages of approval. Please follow department notification and authorities guidelines.
- If the application for renewal is approved, applicant gets notification over his registered mobile number through SMS from the department. Please follow the notification to get the certificate.
- If the certification division authority observes that all norms are not complied with by the applicant, the application will be rejected.

- In the given page, please select the “Certificate of Authorisation” option to reach “Applicant Login for Certificate of Authorisation” page.
- Please enter “Company Id/Premises Id *”, Password and enter captcha as per given image. Please click the “Submit” button to login.
- In case not registered as an user, please use the “Sign Up” option to reach the “New Applicant Registration” page. Please enter the mandatory details and click the “Register” button to register and then login.
- Once login, applicants will land on the dashboard page.
- As and when the certificate will be due for renewal, a "Renewal" button will be available on the left part of the screen.
- Please use the button to get the online application page for renewal
- Please enter/select mandatory details as per prompt.
- Applicant should upload the required documents in PDF format at relevant fields and hit the applicable button to submit the application online.
- Applicant shall pay the fees online as per the payment option available. Use the payment gateway as appropriate.
- Applicant gets acknowledgement page. Please save it for future reference.
- This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
- Competent authority will do the verification of the uploaded documents.
- This application will be processed internally.

Note:
- The application for renewal can be made before three months of expiry date of the certificate
- The field officers of DMI keep regular checks on the commodity graded and certified under AGMARK by drawing check samples from packers’ premises and market. These check samples are analysed in Regional AGMARK Laboratories and action deemed fit is taken if the graded commodity is found not conforming to the prescribed standards.
- It is advised to submit an additional set of copy of the documents and get a counter signed for your safety while applying with the government department.
- Visit the nearest AGMARK certified production centre and consult with them for any latest update requirements.

- Consent letter of the laboratory approved under Agmark in FORM ‘A-3’ Link
- Document authenticating the establishment of the firm, such as the registration certificate.
- Memorandum of Association, in case of a Limited Company.
- Partnership Deed, in case of a Partnership Firm.
- Sketch of the premises
- A copy of licence from Panchayat/Municipality.
- Bank reference - Letter from the bank regarding the transaction to the packer with the bank.
- Name and postal address of the business, contact details included.
- The full address of the premises where the grading and certification will be carried out.
- Name of the commodities to be graded.
- Period for which the applicant has been in business.
- A copy of the test report which is duly authenticated, from an independent Agmark recognized laboratory.
- Sachets of the product samples to be submitted.
- Turnover details of the previous year.
- Total Gross Product for the previous year (in Kgs)
- List of machineries.
- Specimen signature of authorised persons attested by the proprietor/managing partner.
- Medical fitness certificate of employee.
- Specimen copy and sketch of trade brand label
- ID Proof of the Applicant (PAN/DL/Passport/Bank Passbook)
- Address Proof of the Applicant (DL/ Passport/Bank Passbook)
- Property Tax up-to-date tax receipt (Commercial --Business --Industrial)

- Applicant must have the necessary infrastructure to process the commodity for which the certification is sought.
- Applicant must have access to an approved laboratory for grading or must have own laboratory.

- Any person can also get the AGMARK certified agricultural commodity analysed for its quality parameters in Regional AGMARK Laboratories by paying analysis charges.

- AGMARK Standards differentiate between quality and 2-3 grades are prescribed for each commodity.
- Grades help farmers to get prices for agricultural commodities as per the quality produced by them and consumers get the desired quality
Information which might helpEdit
- The DMI is implementing the scheme of certification of agricultural commodities for domestic trade and export.
- The Scheme is voluntary. For Blended Edible Vegetable Oils and Fat Spread certification under AGMARK is mandatory as per provisions in The Food Safety and Standards Act and regulations, 2006.
- The commodities certified under Agmark for domestic trade are spices, ghee, butter, mustard oil, wheat atta, Besan, honey, etc.
