Procedure

1. Go to the Driving Licence counter, bringing with you all documents needed in the process.
2. Fill in the application form, submit it along with all other required documents and pay the application fee.

Required Documents

• ID card
• The driving licence
• The former international licence (to replace)
• 1 passport photo (recent and on clear background)

It is possible that authorities will ask for additional documents, it is advisable that you contact the service first.

Note:

Passport photos must be clear, on a plain background, taken recently and identical (size H 4.5cm / L 3.5 cms).

As a rule, the applicant must not wear any headgear. Headgear can be authorized for religious or medical reasons on condition that the face is completely visible. The forehead, the cheeks, the eyes, the nose and the chin may not be covered. On this photo, the head will occupy minimum 2,5 cms and maximum 3,5 cms. The background of the photo must be clear and uniform.

Need for the Document

An International Driver's License allows the holder to drive a private motor vehicle in a country other than the one who issued the permit. This document must be accompanied by a valid license from the home country to be valid.

An IDL is usually slightly larger than a standard passport and translated in multiple languages of the holders normal driver's license.
