The processing time to obtain a copy of marriage certificate is one day only.

There are a number of ways one can get this.
1. Go in person to Makombe Building in Harare.
2. Get a relative with the same surname as yourself to go and get it.
3. If you're not in the country and have no relatives to collect for you, arrange for a courier e.g DHL to collect for you.
4. Get a lawyer in Zimbabwe to collect for you.

If you're getting someone to collect for you, they will need a certified copy of your birth certificate and ID and you will need to inform the registrar general that someone is collecting on your behalf via email :helpdesk@rg.gov.zw.

For courier to collect for you, get a copg of your birth certificate, ID and passport certified at the Zimbabwe embassy in your country of residence, scan the certified documents and email to helpdesk@rg.gov.zw with your marriage certificate request. When they find your marriage certificate they will email you back with bank details for you to deposit the fee which is $5 a copy. Then you can arrange for a courier to collect the document on your behalf and deliver it to you.
