Apply from outside Zimbabwe

1. To apply you have to visit the nearest Zimbabwean Embassy.
2. List of embassy and consulates : Info
3. You will be provided with an application form. You have to fill this out and submit it back to the embassy.
4. Embassy forwards the application to the appropriate authorities and you will be contacted related to the application.
5. You will have to pay a fees when submitting the application.

Apply from inside Zimbabwe

1. Visit any District Registry Office or the Central Registry (Makombe Building) in Harare.
2. Complete the application form for a duplicate birth certificate.
3. Pay the fee at the counter.
4. If the record is digitized, you can often collect the "long-form" computerized certificate the same day or the next.

• Birth Entry Number: This is the most important detail. If you don't have it, you will need to pay a Search Fee for the registry to find your record.
• National ID: Your original Zimbabwe National Identity card (metal, plastic, or paper).
• Parents' Details: Full names of both parents (as they appear on the original certificate).
• Marriage Certificate: If your parents were married at the time of your birth.
