Apply In-Person

1. To transfer a Small Scale Mining License or Permit in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Ministry of Mines and Minerals office. Please tap on the following link to view contact details: link.
2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. The applicant shall obtain the application form for the permit from the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development office.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
6. Pay the fee as suggested by the authorities.
7. An Inspector of Explosives will inspect, examine or can conduct an inquiry or test and will make an inspection report of the premises.
8. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the applicant will be allowed for approval.
9. Collect the approval documents from the respective office in a stipulated period of time.

• Under the age of eighteen years.
• An undischarged bankrupt, having been adjudged or otherwise declared bankrupt under any written law, or enters into any agreement or scheme of composition with his creditors, or takes advantage of any legal process for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors.
