Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a voter card in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Electoral Commission office of your area, for the main office visit link.
2. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. Submit an application with necessary attachments to the electoral commission office.
4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. The application fee is free of cost for this procedure.
6. After the completion and verification of all the required documents, the voter ID will be accessible.
7. Upon completion of above steps the applicant gets the registration certificate in a stipulated period of time from office or via post.

• All people registered as voters should inspect the provisional Register of Voters to ensure that their names and other details are correct.
• This provisional register is not final and cannot be used in an election. It is still open to changes or amendments.

• The granted document allows the holder to cast a vote legally.

• There is a provision of pre-registration so that the applicant has to spend less time at the registration center.
