Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a duplicate Cross-Border permit in Zambia, the applicant will have to visit the department of immigration, please tap on the following link to view contact details: link.
2. Please make sure that have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. Upon visiting, the applicant will be provided with an application form to be filled in the immigration office.
4. Once understanding the guidelines properly, the applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. After the completion and verification of all the documents, the visa will be accessible.
8. Collect the visa from the office or wait for the visa to arrive via post on the postal address in a stipulated time.

• Covering letter from applicant addressed to the Director General of Immigration/Regional Immigration Officer.
• Proof of membership to a Cross Border Traders Association.
• Letter from the relevant Cross Border Traders’ Association supporting the application.

• A Cross Border Permit is issued to a foreigner who is a member of a regional grouping to which Zambia is party or one who ordinarily resides in a country sharing boundaries with Zambia and is a member of an association of persons engaged in cross border business.
• The applicant should already have a cross-border visa.

• Application Fee: K 4500.

• The permit will be valid for the same time period as the original permit.
