Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a modification or any update in voter card in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Electoral Commission office of your area, for the main office visit link.
2. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the Electoral Commission office.
4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill-in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as per given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. After the completion and verification of the required documents, the updated voter ID will be accessible.
8. The applicant gets an updated or modified voter card in a stipulated period of time.

• The granted document allows the holder to cast a vote legally.

• Correction of clerical errors: This category covers persons whose registration details have clerical errors. These clerical errors may be names, National Registration Card number, and Voter’s Card number which may have typing errors, wrong portrait or any other details on the Voters card.

• The document can also be used as a national identity card.
