Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a license (permit) to export of wild animals in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Zambia Wildlife Authority, for the main office visit link.
2. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the department of national parks and wildlife office.
4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill-in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as per given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Approved application will be submitted directly to the Ministry of Tourism & Arts in Lusaka.
8. After the completion and verification of all the documents, your permit will be available.
9. The applicant gets the license(permit) in a stipulated period of time.

• Application Fee: Handling Fee ZMK 5,000,040 per consignment.
• License Fee:
• 1 to 5 Wild Animals ZMK 500,040
• 6 to 10 Wild Animals ZMK 1,000,000
• 11 to 20 wild Animals ZMK1,500,120
• 21 to 50 Wild Animals ZMK 2,000,160
• 51 to 100 wild Animals ZMK 3,000,060
• More than 100 Animals ZMK 5,000,040

• This licence will be valid for the period specified in the permit.

• The animal should not be a game or protected animal.
• The permit issued cannot be deemed to relieve a person from a restriction on, or prohibition of, the import or export of a wild animal or meat of a wild animal imposed by or under any other written law.

• The granted license allows the holder to export wild animals for business purposes.
