Apply In-Person

1. To apply for Phytosanitary Inspection in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI) of Zambia. Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the department of Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI).
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. After the completion and verification of all the documents, the inspection will be held.
8. The inspection report will be provided in the respective office in a stipulated period of time.

• The applicants should be a bona fide national of the country.

• Application Fee: ZK 650.
• An inspection fee per kilometre for a distance of 5 km or more from a phytosanitary office is ZK 653.33.

• This inspection report will be valid according to the authority’s suggestion.

• The inspection report is issued to indicate that consignments of plants, plant products or other regulated articles meet specified phytosanitary import requirements.

• The Plant Pest and Diseases Act of Zambia act.
