Zambia - Apply for Foreign Road Tank Vehicle Inspection


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Foreign Road Tank Vehicle Inspection in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Road Transport and Safety Agency. Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
  2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. Visit the RTSA office with the Road Tank Vehicle to be inspected.
  4. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the Road Transport and Safety Agency office.
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  6. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
  7. Pay the fee as per the authority’s request.
  8. After the completion and verification of all the required documents, the inspection will be held.
  9. The applicant will get an inspection report upon the completion of the inspection.


Apply Online

  1. Go to the following portal.
  2. Log in using a National Registration Card or passport number and password.
  3. Select “Foreign Road Tank Vehicle Inspection” and click "Apply".
  4. Verify the personal details (retrieved automatically).
  5. Complete the application form with all the information asked.
  6. Pay by credit/debit card or mobile money and click on the “submit” button.
  7. Receive confirmation of acceptance, with instructions on the next steps.
  8. Download or print out the Examiner Report Form.
  9. Bring the vehicle to any RTSA Station to complete the examination.
  10. Receive the Inspection Report for the Road Tank Vehicle after inspection.
