Apply In-Person

1. To apply for an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Civil Aviation Authority in Zambia , for the main office visit link.
2. While visiting the office, make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
3. The applicant has to visit the civil aviation authority office and get the form for transport pilot license from the office and fill the provided application form.
4. Attach the necessary documents on the application form, and submit the form for verification.
5. Upon the verification of submitted application and documents, the application will be approved.
6. Collect the license in a time period mentioned by the authorities.

• The applicants should be a bona fide national of the country.
• Be at least 23 years of age
• Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language fluently
• Be of a good moral character.
• Hold a Commercial Pilot License with an instrument Rating.
• Obtain a first class medical certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner
• Pass a computerized aeronautical knowledge test
• Pass an oral test and flight test administered by concerned authority
• The minimum required time for the Airline Transport Pilot License is 1500 Hours of flight by the applicant.

• Pay as per the instructions of the authority.

• The validity of the license is 5 years.
