Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To get a Life Insurance Agent Certificate of Authority, the applicant must approach the Yukon Government. Here is the contact Link
- The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to download the form Link
- Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
- Attach documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant will have to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
- Submit the application form in-person to the courier address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
- The application will be processed within 10 days from the submission of the application.
Apply by Mail:

Eligibility
The applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
- The applicant holds an insurance license in one of the other provinces.
- The applicant is in good standing in their home jurisdiction.
- The applicant is applying from the same class of license as their home jurisdiction.
- The applicant has permission from a Yukon insurer to sell their products.

- The license is valid for two years.
