Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To get a General Insurance Agent Certificate of Authority, the applicant must approach the Yukon Government. Here is the contact Link
- The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to download the form Link
- Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
- Attach documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant will have to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
- Submit the application form in-person to the courier address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
- The application will be processed within 10 days from the submission of the application. The authorities will inform the applicant where they can collect the certificate from.

Eligibility
The applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
- The applicant holds an insurance license in one of the other provinces.
- The applicant is in good standing in their home jurisdiction.
- The applicant is applying from the same class of license as their home jurisdiction.
- The applicant has permission from a Yukon insurer to sell their products.

The license is valid for two years.
