Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Grazing Permit or License (GRP) in person, the applicant has to visit the Department of Agriculture.

- The applicant has to visit the office as applicable and obtain an Application for Grazing Licence/Permit from the respective department. Or click here to download Application form
- While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section and submit it to the relevant official with the required documents.
- During the submission, the application should pay 25 dollars (with 5% GST) as application fees. The applicant has to pay the required fees, through any of the available payment modes.
- Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
- Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the approved Grazing Licence/Permit.

Eligibility
- Any person in Yukon, who wishes to use public lands for grazing of livestock, can apply.
- The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or they should have permanent resident status.
- The applicant must be at least 19 years old.
- The applicant company should be a Canadian company and the majority of its shareholders should meet the criteria above.
Fees
- The applicant should pay 25 dollars (and 5% GST) as application fees.
Annual fees:
- Administration fee: $50.00 (plus GST)
- Annual grazing fee: $3 (and GST) per animal unit month
Validity
- Grazing agreement is issued for a 3 year probationary period after which the permanent agreement will be issued with a validity of 27 years.

- The applicants are advised to attach all the required documents without any insufficiency, to avoid rejections and delay in processing.
