Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Grazing Permit or License (GRP) in person, the applicant has to visit the Department of Agriculture.
2. Address and Contact details of the office can be found in the following Contact link
3. The applicant has to visit the office as applicable and obtain an Application for Grazing Licence/Permit from the respective department. Or click here to download Application form
4. While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section and submit it to the relevant official with the required documents.
6. During the submission, the application should pay 25 dollars (with 5% GST) as application fees. The applicant has to pay the required fees, through any of the available payment modes.
7. Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
8. Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the approved Grazing Licence/Permit.

• Any person in Yukon, who wishes to use public lands for grazing of livestock, can apply.
• The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or they should have permanent resident status.
• The applicant must be at least 19 years old.
• The applicant company should be a Canadian company and the majority of its shareholders should meet the criteria above.

• The applicant should pay 25 dollars (and 5% GST) as application fees.

Annual fees:

• Administration fee: $50.00 (plus GST)
• Annual grazing fee: $3 (and GST) per animal unit month

• Grazing agreement is issued for a 3 year probationary period after which the permanent agreement will be issued with a validity of 27 years.
