1. Application to apply for federal firearms license is available in the following link Link
2. The applicant has to fill-in the details in the form.
3. Applicant should make sure to attach all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
4. Mail the application along with the required documents to appropriate office.
5. Mailing address is mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page.
6. The fee of this procedure is mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The business or activity will comply with the requirements of State and local legislation applicable to the conduct of business or activity within 30 days of the application being accepted.
8. Once the application fee is processed, the Federal Firearms Licensing Center (FFLC) will enter your application information into its database and commence a full review of your application.
9. From the time a properly completed application is received, the procedure will take about 60 days.

• Collectors of Curios and Relics (Type 03 FFL) licensees are prohibited from buying or selling curios and relics under this licence.

• Individuals with a Federal Guns License (FFL) can work in the ammunition or firearms manufacturing industry, as well as sell firearms interstate or intrastate.

• An Industry Operations Investigator (IOI) will be assigned by the field office supervisor to conduct an in-person interview with you.
• The IOI will go through your application with you to confirm that all of the information is valid and up to date, as well as discuss federal, state, and local requirements.

• Federal Firearms License is also used to obtain Amended Federal Firearms License.
