To apply for a biometric passport, you must go in person to a municipal hall (or consular authority if you live abroad), equipped with the necessary supporting documents.

A passport is issued to an individual and certifies their identity, the conditions for issuance are more strict in terms of civil status and nationality.

The centralized production of the electronic passports prohibits immediate delivery.

However, in case of, a justified, emergency the Consulate can issue an emergency passport with a validity of one year.

The applicant, including minors, must appear in person at the Consulate or before an Honorary Consul to submit their application and return to pick up the passport.

If you do not have an identity card (or only an older model card)

• 2 identical photos
• Proof of residence : original + photocopy

If you were born in a town affected by the dematerialization of civil status documents , you do not need to produce a birth certificate.
