1. Go to the French consular authority closes to the applicant's domicile (abroad) or the prefecture of your place of residence (in France).
2. Fill in an application form.
3. Provide and submit the documents required. (Please see below.)

• Forms to be completed (with identity photographs)
• Contract of employment or promise of employment specifying the occupation, wages, weekly hours of work, actual place of employment and references of the employer
• A medical certificate of aptitude for work drawn up by the doctor approved by the consulate
• An extract from a criminal record

Note:
The validity period of the travel document must exceed that of the visa by 3 months.
