The residents of U.S Virgin Islands holding driver’s license, it’s their responsibility to renew the license on time. U.S Virgin Islands driver license holders whose driver’s license is expired or about to expire they can renew by visiting their nearest DMV Office or they can apply through online.

Apply In-Person :

1. Applicant should complete the Driver's License Renewal Form and take it to the DMV department for processing.
2. Use the following link to download the application form: Application form
3. Fill in the form appropriately.
4. Visit the DMV office with all the required documents stated below in the required documents section below.
5. Take the vision and attach the test results to the application form, submit it with all the required documents and pay the prescribed fee.
6. After verification, a temporary license will be issued and you can use it until your renewed driver’s license arrives.
7. The renewed license will be mailed to you within 10 working days.
   
   

Apply Online :

1. Visit the U.S Virgin Islands DMV Official Portal.
2. Select your nearest DMV Office to make an appointment on line.
3. Visit the selected DMV Office along with the renewal notice, required documents, and prescribed fees.
4. Take the Vision test and attach the vision Test Report to the application form.
5. Fill the application form, Pay the prescribed fees and submit the application form along with the required documents.
6. A temporary license will be issued.
7. You can use this temporary license until your renewed license arrives.
8. The renewed License will be mailed to you within 10 working days.

• Driver’s License Information Form must be filled out by applicant.
• Drivers must present and surrender their old driver’s license in order for it to be renewed along with documents initially presented (see documents list in legal documents/source documents section). These documents must be presented for verification of identity.
