• That declaration form has to be certified by the ward or commune police and her sealed photos. (4 photos)
• Attaching the photocopy of Identification Card.

• The applicant can call 1080 (The Information Center) to ask the address of the Immigration Department near where you live most and come there to renew a passport.
• Completed 1 declaration form with 4 passport photos
• Accordingly submit the aforementioned papers such as the report of lost passport, expired or damaged passport, etc.
• In case of necessity the applicants must bring original household registration book or its endorsed copy to collate.
• When renewing a passport, the applicants must present the original ID to check.

You are in cases as follow:

• Losing passports
• The passports are damaged or still valid but there is a need for renewing.
• Separating children from parents passport.
• Expired passports
• Adjusting full name, date of birth, place of birth or Identification Card number.

Renew a passport fee: VND 200,000

Passports of citizens from 14 years old or older with a term not exceeding 10 years from the date of issuance and is not extended. For passports have been issued with a term of 5 years at least before the expiration of 30 days may be extended once for another three years.

Passports for children under 14 years old (issued separately or issued with the passport of mother or father) with a term of 2 years to 5 years from the date of issuance and is not extended. In case of adding children less than 14 years old on the issued passport of mother or father, the validity is ??from 2 years to 5 years from the date when children was added.

1. Fill up 1 declaration form in the prescribed form. That declaration form is not certified by the Ward or Commune Police in your permanent residence or temporary residence.
2. Passport application for Vietnamese citizens has to apply at the Provincial Immigration Department.
3. Submit additional documents as the following cases:

• In case of losing passports, you must submit a report or certification of lost passports.
• In case of damaged or expired passports or still valid but there is a need for renewing, you must return that passport.
• In case of separating children from parents passport, the procedure includes 1 declaration form and 2 passport photos of the children in order to issue separately the passport for those children, also includes 1 declaration form and 2 passport photos of the parents in order to issue separately the passport for those parents. However, if the parents want to keep that passport, just need to submit 1 declaration form and 2 passport photos of the children.
• In case of adjusting full name, date of birth, place of birth or Identification Card number, you must submit the photocopy of ID card or legally valuable papers proving that adjustment
