1. To convert or exchange your foreign driver's license, go to your local transport department.
2. Submit a complete application, a copy of your driving license, a copy of your passport, authorized translation of the foreign license and three passport photos.
3. Complete and pass any required test.
4. Pay the application fee.

• A completed application to convert a foreign driver's license confirmed by the organization/agency the applicant is working for or the local authority where he/she is living;
• A copy of driving license (present the original one for verification);
• A copy of passport (number, validity, name, photo and visa page for their entry into Vi?t Nam, you will also need to present the original passport for verification)
• An authorized translation of the foreign-granted driving license into Vietnamese;
• Three color passport photos (3x4)

• A Vietnamese citizen can convert his/her driving license at the Vietnam Road Department or Transport Departments at his/her temporary residence.

Non-Vietnamese citizens are only allowed to drive in the Vietnam if they hold temporary Vietnamese driver's license.
