Application submitted by the following individuals are endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan's traffic police. Exchange of driving licenses in this category of foreign nationals are made ??without any exam:

• Heads and other staff (diplomatic, administrative and technical staff) of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign countries and representatives of international intergovernmental organizations and governmental organizations of foreign states, as well as representatives of foreign media accredited by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In the presence of the relevant agreement, application submitted by foreign employees of NGO's , are subject to appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan traffic police through the Ministry of Justice. This requires the applicant to go through a medical examination. Exchange of driving license is done after the exams.

Applications to replace driving licenses of foreign nationals and stateless persons, as well as driving licenses of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan received in foreign countries, are reviewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the GRSP. The license will be replaced after the applicant has passed a medical examination and the theoretical and practical test given before a license is replaced.

A driver's license is a legal document issued by the state. It expresses a persons capability to operate a motorized vehicle, such as a motorcycle, car, truck or a bus, on a public roadway. Laws relating to the issuance of licenses vary between jurisdictions.

Foreign citizens, stateless individuals, and employees of diplomatic services may use their international driving licenses and national driving licenses conforming to the Convention on Road Traffic (Vienna , November 8, 1968) in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a certain period as long as it is accompanied by a translation. If you will be staying in Uzbekistan for a long period, you may also choose to have your foreign license exchanged for a local one.
