Uttarakhand - Apply for Unemployment Certificate


Procedure

The Unemployment Certificate is required by the unemployed youth for self-employment, availing bank loans, etc.
Apply In-Person:

  1. Please go to the respective employment registration office where the candidate registered already.
  2. Link for contact: online link AND link2 AND e-district link
  3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter or write in a plain paper.
  4. Please submit the completed application form along with required documents to the staff at the receiving desk.
  5. The submitted application form and documents will be verified by the authorities.
  6. If all are OK, authority will process the application and provide you with unemployment certificate.



Apply Through CSC

  1. To Apply for Unemployment Certificate, the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority the qualification will be added.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

  • Application form
  • Original Employment Exchange Registration Card (To be shown) and attested copy of the same to be submitted at the time of applying for Unemployment Certificate.
  • 2 copies of Self attested recent Passport size photographs.
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Mobile number.
  • Email Id (if available).
  • Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.
Note : Please show above mentioned documents in original and attested copies thereof (to be submitted) at the time of applying.

Eligibility

  • To get Unemployment Certificate from Employment Exchanges of the respective state, the candidate must have registered his/her name in the concerned Employment Exchange.
  • The Registration of the candidate must be valid.
  • Candidate registered in Employment Exchange and remain unemployed for 5 years or the number of years as fixed by government

The candidate can register his/her name in the concerned District Employment Exchange within whose jurisdiction his/ her place of residence is situated.

Need for the Document

  • Any citizen of India is eligible for Registration at an Employment Exchange for assistance in securing Employment/job. There is no necessity to verify the employment /under employment / unemployment status of the applicant.
  • The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
  • This certificate will be required by unemployed youths holding valid employment registration card for self-employment and to avail bank loan to start their business.
