Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Tenant Verification In-Person, get the Tenant Verification form from the nearest police station in Uttar Pradesh.
2. You can also download it online in your preferred language and print the form: Application Form
3. Fill the required details of the Landlord.
4. Under the section of “Particulars of tenant to whom premises is proposed to be or has been let out”, fill in all the required details of the Tenant.
5. Fill the details of either any one of the following: Passport, Driving License, Arms License Ration Card, Voter Card, Income Tax (Pan No.).
6. Paste a Passport size photograph of the Tenant in the space given.
7. Sign the form in the space given for “Signature of the Landlord”.
8. Submit the form at the nearest Police Station UP Police Stations
9. The Police Station would charge a fee of Rs.50 for this process.
10. The police would fill the details under “Acknowledgement” and give you the Receipt.
11. Receive the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
12. Visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.

Apply Online - Uttar Pradesh Apply to get Tenant Verification Through Mobile App Online with Images

1. To apply for Tenant Verification online, visit the Uttar Pradesh Citizen services webpage from the link: Apply Online
2. Create a new user account and login to use the Tenant Verification Service.
3. In the given new window, fill the Landlord’s details.
4. In the same webpage, click on the “Tenant Information Tab”.
5. Fill all the required details by clicking on “Personal Information” and “Address”.
6. Fill all the required details on clicking the Tab, “Family Members Information”.
7. Upload the photo and required documents of max. 200kb file size in jpg, gif, doc, docx, pdf, txt format.
8. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
9. Pay the required Tenant Verification Processing fee of Rs.50
10. Pay the fee using a mode of payment viz. Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
11. Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
12. The Police will send you the report once it is ready.

14. The Report will be sent to the applicant’s registered E-Mail ID or any other information will be sent to the registered mobile Number.

Apply through Mobile Application

1. The UP police have launched a mobile app for citizens to use the citizen services without much difficulty.
2. To use this service, download the “UP Police Citizen Service Mobile App” from the Link: Mobile Application
3. Open the Application and select Services
4. From the given options, select Paid Services.
5. From this page, select Tenant Verification.
6. Create an account using your Mobile Number.
7. Enter the required details of the Landlord and the Tenant.
8. Upload the photo and required documents of max. 200kb file size in jpg, gif, doc, docx, pdf, txt format.
9. Pay the required fee of Rs.50
10. The Police will start the verification process and will send you the report once it is ready.
11. The Report will be sent to the applicant’s registered E-Mail ID or any other information will be sent to the registered mobile Number.

• Tenant Verification Certificate is extremely important in Uttar Pradesh due to the highest rate of Domestic crimes.

• Terrorists and Criminals usually try to rent a place with forged documents.
• Conducting a Tenant Verification would ensure that you are renting out your building to someone who is not troublesome.
• When one applies for a Tenant Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the Tenant and their details are stored with the police. This protects the Tenant from involving in any criminal activities in the near future, since their records are stored with the police.
