Uttar Pradesh - Apply to get Servant (Domestic Help) Verification


Procedure

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a Domestic Help Verification In-Person, get the Domestic Help Verification form from your concerned Police Station Uttar Pradesh.
  2. You can also download it online from the link: Application Form
  3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the servant or employee.
  4. Fill your details under the space provided for details of the employer.
  5. Provide the servant’s voluntary fingerprints if necessary.
  6. Affix the Passport size photograph of the employee in the space given.
  7. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proof of the employee.
  8. Duly sign the form and submit it at the nearest Police Station in Uttar Pradesh.
  9. Find your police station by scrolling down to “Know your Police Station” option in the link: UP Police Stations
  10. Pay the required Domestic Help Verification Processing.
  11. The police would fill the details under “Acknowledgement” and give you the Receipt.
  12. Receive the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
  13. Visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.

Note: Carry the original Id proofs to the police station for any necessary cross verifications to be made.

Apply Online

  1. To apply for Domestic Help Verification online, visit the Uttar Pradesh Citizen Services Portal from the link: Apply Online
  2. If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details. by selecting “Create Citizen Login”.
  3. Now login with your account and select Domestic Help Verification option from the Services provided.
  4. In the given new window, fill the Servant’s details by selecting each given tab.
  5. Fill the required employer or householder’s details.
  6. Upload the photo and required documents in required file size and format.
  7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
  8. Pay the required Domestic Help Verification Processing.
  9. Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
  10. You can verify the status of your application from the following link: Application Status
  11. The Report will be sent to the applicant’s registered E-Mail ID or any other information will be sent to the registered mobile Number.

Apply through Mobile Application

  1. The UP police have launched a mobile app for citizens to use the citizen services without much difficulty.
  2. To use this service, download the “UP Police Citizen Service Mobile App” from the Link: [://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uttarpradesh.citizen.app&hl=en_IN Mobile Application]
  3. Open the Application and select Services
  4. From the given options, select Paid Services.
  5. From this page, select Domestic Help Verification.
  6. Create an account using your Mobile Number.
  7. Enter the required details of the Servant and the Employer.
  8. Upload the photo and required documents of max. 200kb file size in jpg, gif, doc, docx, pdf, txt format.
  9. Pay the required fee.
  10. The Police will start the verification process and will send you the report once it is ready.
  11. The Report will be sent to the applicant’s registered E-Mail ID or any other information will be sent to the registered mobile Number.

  • While applying In- Person, visit the Police Station along with the servant if necessary.
  • Make sure you mention valid details while applying for the Verification. Your application could get cancelled if the details furnished are not valid.

Need for the Document

  • While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to apply for a Police verification report of the said person to ensure your safety.
  • When one applies for this Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the person to be employed and their details are stored with the police.
  • This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
  • The police verification report also gives information about any troublesome activities of the servant in their previous workplace.

  • Servants have access to the employer’s most important details, and one could easily become a victim of servant crime if they do not conduct police verification before hiring them.
  • Usually, in the event of a servant crime, the police would be left with zero information about the servant's details. However, a servant verification process would help the police to track such crimes.
  • It is highly necessary to do background verification of the servant even if he/she was referred by a friend or an acquaintance.
