Uttar Pradesh's State government has started the widow pension with the name of Vidhwa pension Yojana to give financial assistance of the widows of Uttar Pradesh. Every eligible candidate gets Rs. 500 per month through the Up Government.An applicant can either apply online or offline for vidhwa pension by visiting the Corporation office.

Apply In-Person through Vidhwa pension Yojana:

1. To apply offline, the applicant has to go to the office of the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation or Officer of the Janpad Panchayat.

3. Obtain the application form without any cost from the officer or write it on an A4 Sheet.
4. Fill the application form and attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation or Officer of the Janpad Panchayat.
5. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
6. After all the verification they will credit your pension amount each month through your bank account.

3. Now click on “Apply Now“.
4. Select the “New Entry Form” to apply for the scheme.
5. Now fill all the details in the form and upload at last put a tick mark on the I declare text box and enter the captcha code mentioned.
6. Fill the application form with the required details and attach the scanned documents.
7. Finally click on “Save” to submit your application.
8. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
9. After all the verification they will credit your pension amount each month through your bank account.
   
   

Note: After submitting the application, you will receive a registration number as an acknowledgement. The status of the application can be tracked through this acknowledgment in the website.

• Below Poverty line ration card
• Certificate of Income
• Bank's Passbook
• Death certificate of husband
• Identity proof( Voter ID/ Aadhar card)

• A woman who has lost her spouse by death and has not married again.
• Women, whose age is between 18-60 years.

• The applicant, whose family income is limited to Rs.10,000 per month.

Eligibility to apply for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS):

• The applicant must be from BPL category (with a valid BPL id)
• The applicant must be a widow.
• The applicant must be above 40 years of age.
•  An amount of Rs 300/- is payable to such pensioners aged between 40-79 years.
• After attaining the age of 80 years, the beneficiary will get Rs 500 per month.
