Renew Online
Those who have received a letter in the mail with a pin number to RENEW ONLINE, you may visit the LINK to start the renewal process. You can renew your Utah driver license 6 months prior to the expiration date.
The online renewal service is limited to license/ID Card holders who have already verified their identity with the Driver License Division after January 1, 2010. If qualified, you will have received a notice by mail with your PIN authorization. If you need to verify your identity, you will need to schedule an appointment using the Driver License Online Scheduling Application.
Note: If your current status is Not Valid you may not be able to renew a driver license. If you have a question about your driving status contact the customer service department at: (801) 965-4437, or 1-888-353-4224. You may also visit http://publicsafety.utah.gov/dld/
Present proof of birth, full social security number, current Utah driver license, and if your residence has changed from what is on your current driver license, or you don't have your current driver license in possession, you will be required to provide two proofs of your Utah residence.
