Apply by mail

1. To Renew Cat License, the applicant has to approach the U.S. Department of Agriculture (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service) – link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link – link
3. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized office mailing address.
7. The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent through email. (If required)
11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant will get the license through the mail.
12. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• Identification particulars of the cat
• Name and address of the owner
• Other required particulars
• Identification card number
• Medical information about the cat
• Email address of the applicant

• A cat license is required in some jurisdictions to be the keeper of a cat. Usually, a cat license identifying number is issued to the owner, along with a cat tag bearing the identifier and a contact number for the registering organization.
• The applicant has to get the renewal license before it expired.
