To reserve the name for a company:

1. Obtain application form from the Uganda Registration Service Bureau or download it through this link: Business registration Form(select Reservation of Name.)
2. Fill in the application from and submit it to the assessment window at the Uganda Service Registration Bureau (USRB)
3. Pay the Name reservation fee at the bank and obtain the bank slip for the payment.
4. Return to the USRB office and submit the bank slip/receipt to attending officer at the Name search window.
5. Upon confirming of the payments, the suggested name is subjected to a search in the business registry database. If the name passes the similarity, defensive, offensive, and desirability tests, it is reserved for a period of 30 days.
6. You will be issued with reservation number that you will use to check your reservation status.

NOTE: There are name-reservation books where you can search and check whether the desired name was approved or rejected and for what reasons.
