Uganda - How to Print Certificate of a Stamp Duty

In person application

  1. On payment of the stamp duty fee at any designated bank of your choices, visit the Uganda Revenue Authority branch office (URA) near you with the acknowledgment payment receipt (bank slip)
  2. Approach the service desk ,the attending officer will then Type in the Acknowledgement number and enter your issued barcode number onto the URA computer system and then print out the certificate and issue it to you immediately

Online application

  1. Applicant should start by visiting the Uganda Revenue Authority branch office (URA) near you, approach the services desk and request for a barcode for the instrument on payment of the stamp duty fee at any designated bank of their choice.
  2. Then Visit the URA web portal URA and on the home page click on e-services, stamp duty then select Stamp Certificate issuance.
  3. Type in the Acknowledgement number and the barcode number obtained from URA office.
  4. Click on show details, the system will display the certificate for you to print.

Note:

  • The certificate is only printed once, if by any reason you close without printing you will need to apply for Duplicate at a cost.
