2. The interview is to verify your identity by getting you to confirm details about your background and past history.
3. Details about booking an interview will be sent to you after your application has been received by HM Passport Office.
4. The interview should take 30 minutes and is free of charge

You can apply for a British passport if you have British nationality. But there are some circumstances where your application can be refused i.e;

Youre suspected of a serious crime and an arrest warrant has been issued. A court order stops you having a UK passport or restricts your travel. Youre on bail and bail conditions mean you cant leave the UK. Youve been brought back to the UK before at the governments expense and havent repaid what you owe. Youve received a European Union or United Nations order which restricts your travel

British passports are issued by the UK government's Her Majesty's Passport Office (HM Passport Office).

All adult individual (aged 16 and over) applying for a passport for the first time must attend an interview with HM Passport Office in person to confirm their identity.

HM Passport Office recommends you allow 6 weeks for your passport application to be processed

You can get an application form for a British passport using the following methods:

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory consisting of the larger Caicos Islands and smaller Turks Islands. The Turks and Caicos Islands passport is a British passport issued to British Overseas Territories citizens with a connection to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
