• To apply for renewal of certificate of vehicle registration in Tripura, the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area.
  
• Information related to the RTO offices and registering authority can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page.
  
• You will have to submit application in front of registering authority within seven days of purchase of vehicle along with the documents.
  
• The application shall be made in application Form no-25 to the RTO
  
• The application form no 25 can be downloaded through following link: Form 25
  
• Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  
• Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  
• Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Apply Online - Tripura Renew Certificate Of Vehicle Registration Online with Images

1. You can apply for renew certificate of vehicle registration through the National Portal, the following link will give you access to the Parivahan Sewa, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India:National Portal
   
2. From the dropdown menu of apply online services on the website select the “vehicle related services” option
3. Once you select the vehicle related services, you will be redirected to the page.
   
4. Click on apply online
   
5. Enter Valid Vehicle Registration Number and click on Proceed
   
6. Select the Service to be availed by Clicking the respective Service under Online Services Menu. Select “renew certificate of vehicle registration”. Online service is available only for private non transport vehicle.
   
7. Enter Chassis Number and Mobile Number
   
8. Fill the Applicant Details as instructed and required.
   
9. Enter the OTP received and Click on Show details.
   
10. Enter further details as per the form displayed.
    
11. Click Submit and then Confirm and Make Payment
    
12. Once Payment Done, Print Receipt.

Printing application

1. You can take printout of online application form with the help of the link: please follow the link Online portal
   
2. Select “Gujarat” in the drop down menu against “Please select the State from where the service is to be taken”.
   
3. In the next window, please click “Download Forms” to select “Print application form” option.
   
4. Please enter your application number in the next window and hit” Submit” follow the next window to get the printout.

Guidelines for application:

• Apply for renewal of certificate of registration in Form 25 to the Registering Authority in whose jurisdiction the vehicle is, not more than 60 days before the date of its expiry
  
• Pay the due taxes on vehicle, if any
  
• Pay appropriate fee as specified in Rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989

• Every registration certificate is required to be renewed not more than 60 days before the date of its expiry of the registration for its continuous use. Renewal of the vehicle registration certificate is important as Vehicle Registration is mandatory under the law and is essential to prove the ownership of a vehicle. It is also required during the sale of a vehicle and transfer of its ownership.
