Apply via Agent
- The property owners can now calculate property taxes on their own using the online portal as provided through the following link : Online tax calculator
- Yearly Property Tax = 5% of APV
- APV(Annual Property Value) is calculated as per the below formula:
- APV = Plinth Area (Sq.Ft.) X Unit Area Valu (Rs) X Age Factor X Structural Factor X Occupancy Factor X Usage Factor.

Apply In-Person
- Applicant can make payment of property tax in the respective municipal office Computerized counters. Please use this link for municipal office and Zonal Office respectively: Municipal office link AND Zonal office Link
- Applicant has to obtain the application form “Form-E” by paying the appropriate fee (if required)
- Application form reference (scroll down the pdf to see the form)link : Form Link
- Submit the completed application form along with required documents to the concerned authority at the computerized counter.
- As authorities verify the application, applicant will be advised to make the payment.
- After remitting the fee in the fee counter (As advised dd/cash etc,), the applicant receives a receipt from the officials for payment in “FORM-F”. This receipt can be used as a proof for paid property tax.
Apply Online:
- In Tripura, property tax can be made online using online portal.
- In order to pay property tax through the online portal, please use this link: Online portal
- In the given page enter details for the prompt “Enter House No” and hit “Show Tax Due” Button for next window
- In the given window, Please select /Enter details prompted for and follow the prompts to carefully to complete online processing of property payment.
- Please use respective payment options provided in the site and complete the payment using Credit / Debit on net banking method.
- Once the completion of the requisite is over, you will get the acknowledgement for the payment made. Please save or print for proof.
Apply through Paytm
- To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to download the app from the following link – link
- The applicant has to click the “Municipality payment”.
- The applicant has to select the respective corporation from the list.
- The applicant has to enter the property ID and other minor details and then click the “Get Tax Amount” button.
- Now the amount will be displayed on the screen and click the “Proceed to pay” button.
- The applicant has to select the payment method.
- Enter the payment details and click the “Pay” button.
- The applicant can check the payment summary after the payment gets successful.
- The processing time for this procedure is complete within a few minutes.
Apply through CSC
- To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC centre – link
- NOTE: The applicant has to select a state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centers.
- The applicant has to visit the centre and submit the tax pay invoice to an operator.
- The officer will check the details on the computer.
- Followed by the applicant can pay the amount to the officer by cash or online transaction.
- Once the payment process for the property tax is completed, the applicant will get a successful payment receipt from the officer.
- The processing time for this procedure is complete within a day.

Eligibility

- The property tax amount is calculated based on the residential area. So, it varies from one property type to other.

- Basement area
- The rate prevalent in the street where the property is located
- Usage of the building (residential or non-residential access)
- Type of occupancy (owner or tenant)
- The total span of the building’s existence.

Validity
- The property tax paid is valid for one year. Every year, you should renew it. (In certain place the tax will be collected for six months too)
- Options for payment
- Full onetime payment : June 30 of the financial year
- Half yearly payment : June 30 and half on December 3 1 of the financial year
- Quarterly Payment: June 30, September 30, December 31, and March 15 of the financial year

Required Information
The property tax particular is required to pay the property tax.
Need for the Document
- Land owners / Property owners are subjected to pay certain amount to the concerned local government or to the municipal corporation of the concerned area are called as property tax.
- Property tax or 'house tax' is a local tax imposed on owners of an apartment, land and building by the Government. The governing authority of the jurisdiction levies the tax to the owner in which the property is located.
- Property tax clearance is required for most of other service like Water, Sanitary, Electricity connection etc.
- Owners of residential properties are liable to pay property tax to respective department on a specified period of time and has to be paid regularly (period can be 6 months or one year in respect to the state).
- Tax Exemption is applicable for selected citizens / organizations (Educational Institutions, Charitable institutions, Ex-serviceman / In-service man, retired pensioners association, NGO Homes/Teachers Association Buildings) as applicable.
- All residential and commercial (non-residential) properties are assessed for tax.
- The information about all the new constructions, existing construction and improvements to the property must be provided to the respective Department of the state to make necessary changes to tax assessment.
- Note: There will be strict action against the defaulters. It is advisable to pay the tax on time to avoid such situations.
