1. To apply for the School Supplies Grant, you must visit the Social Welfare Division office in your district and speak to an officer.
2. The officer will complete an application form and have the application reviewed by the people in charge of approving the grant.
3. When you file your application, you will be asked to present an estimate coming from the book supplier. For fire victims, you will need to submit a letter issued by the Fire Services Association.

The School Textbooks Grant provides financial aid to students who have been hit by natural disaster (fire, floods and hurricanes) where the books and school supplies are destroyed during the school year. The money can be used to buy new children's textbooks, stationary and school uniforms. The maximum amount disbursed is TT$1000.00 per secondary child and TT$700.00 per primary school child.
